My name is Mike Harder, and I’m pretty much a normal guy who enjoys coffee (lots of coffee), wake boarding, and several other sports. To know anything about me, you have to know the context of my life: I’m a missionary kid from Bogotá, Colombia, where my parents served for 28 years as church planters. Colombia is an incredible country, but it’s troubled politically and socially due to civil war, drug trafficking, and terrorism that have plagued it for the past 40 years. I love being from Colombia, but God has called me to work in the United States as my mission field. I am currently starting a new church in Nashville TN called ‘Green Hills Church’, a community that values accepting people as they are and walking with them towards maturity in Christ.
I am married to the most amazing woman in the world. I tried to date Tabitha 5 years before we officially started dating and all I got was the Heisman for my efforts. Amazingly, God in his providence brought her back in my life and we got married a year and a half after she agreed to go out to a coffee date with me! Thank God for Starbucks! We met up for coffee on a Wednesday night and have been together ever since!
I graduated from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN, with a Master of Divinity and am currently serving as Co-Pastor at Green Hills Church in Nashville as well as having an opportunity to speak nationally to our generation through Mike Harder Ministries. I am truly motivated by the opportunity to make an impact in the spiritual health and condition of the people in my generation since many of them have turned away from God. My desire is to see us come back to God and find him once again.
I hope that this blog will be a place where you can connect to God and if your heart has drifted far from him that you will return to relationship with Him!
